Hello Fabulous Marlins!

We are fast approaching the end of the season! This will be a run down of how the end of season will work.

Last regular season meet on Monday, June 29

We will be planning to swim one relay at this meet. Additionally, we are planning to take a socially distanced team picture of each age group at the beginning of each meet. Please make sure you are on time for the meet on Monday so you can be included in the picture. We will be following the same schedule as last week, with the exception of 13up. 13up should arrive at the pool at 8:15. Great job RSVPing for this meet! We have 100% accounted for!

Regular practice next week for all swimmers

We will have no practice on Friday, July 3. All meet and practice swimmers can attend practice next week. We will have the Tuesday one on ones for those swimmers who were assigned June 30. So there are two days of regular practice next week, Wednesday and Thursday.

Meet of Champions (MOC) and End of Year (EOY) party on Monday July 6

MOC this year will also be swam virtually. We will be competing against all of the other teams in the league for a spot at All Stars. We really want 100% participation in this meet. We will be swimming relays at this meet. There will be awards and medals presented. Please double check the spelling of your swimmers' names in swimtopia.   We will be using that roster for the names on the medals.

    This will be a combination MOC meet and EOY party. We are working to come up with appropriate fun things to do. Please plan to attend. We are also inviting the practice team to come to the end of each age group meet to participate in the relays and to receive their trophys. Please RSVP for MOC asap. We need good counts to plan the days events. Most likely, we will follow the schedule from the first meet, which I will send out again as we get closer to the date of the MOC. We will also hold board elections at the end of each meet. If you are interested in being on the board next year, please contact me asap.

All Star Practice the week of July 7

We will have practice for swimmers advancing to All Stars on July 7-9. We will determine the schedule for these practices when we have our all star swimmer list.

All Star Meet July 10

The All Star Meet will be held on Friday, July 10. We don't know much about it yet. The league is trying to find an outdoor facility that could host the meet in person. But it may be virtual. We will let you know when we find out.

Coaches' gift donations

Typically, the families of the team donate money for a coaches gift. We present this gift to the coaches at the EOY party. To make a donation for our coaches, go to the website and click on the Shop. In the shop select the coaches gift and the amount you would like to donate. Then just follow instructions. Please do not feel pressure to donate. I know many are stuggling financially.

This has been a whirl-wind of a season! We have had so little time with you all, but we have all had to do so much more than normal. It has been a pleasure to be able to work together to provide this brief respite for the kids from all of the Covid craziness.
