    Marlins Minute: Post Meet #3

WOW-EEEEEE, what a day/night it was! First and foremost, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for pulling together to not only move the meet to our pool last minute, but to also stick it out in the rain for an hour+ for us to be able to "complete" the meet. The adults were soaked & tired and the swimmers were happy as pigs in...well, you know. WHEW! I don't know about you, but my daaaawgs were barkin' at 10pm.

The Marlins came away with the WIN last night! Yaaaaaahoo!
    Maplewood 601
    Sienna 464

For those wondering about our meet last week, we did not pull out the win.
    Sugar Land 652
    Maplewood 531

I have enabled both meets to appear in a public search on the SwimTopia App. That means, even if you do not have the Pro subscription, you can see all swimmers results

We have TWO MORE MEETS and then the post season fun begins! Please declare your swimmer for Meet #4...and if you know your status, declare for the rest of the season

MEET #4 - Maplewood vs Glenshire Wahoos & Quail Valley Dolphins
This is a TRI-Meet - 3 teams swimming against each other. We are new to this, so we need all hands on deck. Both our opponents each have under 100 swimmers, so numbers-wise it will be similar in size to our other meets. We have added some extra volunteer spots so we can cover the other two teams if they can not fill their volunteer needs (this is a possibility with Division 4 teams). Again, all hands on deck and, as Axl Rose says, "just a little patience"

Stroke Clinics were on fire today! Talking with the swimmers, many of them exclaimed "I learned so much!" and a few of them who did all 4 clinics exclaimed "I'm exhausted!". I call that a success. We plan to offer up less spots for next Tuesday's clinics so be sure to snag your spot when the link goes out.

REGULAR MORNING PRACTICE SCHEDULE WEDS, THURS & FRI!

Again, THANK YOU to everyone who stepped in to help make yesterday's meet happen. I think we'll all get some good zzzzzzzzz's tonight.

    See you at the pool!
