Marlins Minute - Meet #5
It's the FINAL COUNTDOWN! Our last regular season meet is on Monday!! Then - we are on to our post-season activities. We will provide basic information below about post-season and more information will come as it is confirmed by the league.
MONDAY, JUNE 19th
- Away meet against New Territory Tarpons. Arrive by 4pm, for warmups to start at 4:20pm. Please sign-up to volunteer if you haven’t already. There are TEN SHIFTS that still need to be filled.
- We need someone with a truck to transport the tents from Maplewood pool to New Territory. Please email [email protected] if you are willing to take on this job.
- It is going to be HOT. Please be prepared and keep your swimmer hydrated.
- They have a concession stand and will have pizza & CFA sandwiches for sale.
- Attached is the info sheet from New Territory. They also mentioned that they do not hand out awards to 13 & up swimmers.
- We WILL have a regular practice day on Tuesday.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21st
- Breakfast with the Coaches 10-11am! A special Marlins tradition for our 11 & Up swimmers. RSVP will close on Tuesday morning. Please be sure to let us know if your swimmer can attend.
- Modified practice schedule for 10 & Under swimmers (this Wednesday only):
- 6 & Under: 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
- 7/8s: 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- 9/10s: 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- 11 & Up: breakfast at 10am
Post Season Information:
- Meet of Champions (MOC) - Monday June 26
- IMPORTANT: Please take a quick moment to declare your eligibility for the Meet of Champions meet on Monday, June 26.

- In order to swim in MOC…
- swimmers must compete in TWO swim meets during the season, and have a legal time in the stroke they are swimming in, not a DQ. Our 1st meet (virtual) counts towards eligibility

- Call ups for AS will be made from MOC results.
More info on post season fun to come later this week - most important thing right now is to DECLARE your swimmer for MOC so we know who will be swimming.
