Meet #2 - Monday, 6/3 @ HOME
Good afternoon Marlins Fans!
What a great turn out at pictures today and boy was it HOT!
Monday, June 3 Timeline
- 3:45p: Swimmers should arrive and check in with the tent parent at their age group tent.
- The swimmers must remain with their age group tent, or let the age group parent know where they will be. PLEASE notify a tent parent if your swimmer is taken home prior to the end of the meet - especially 6 & unders!
- Swimmers not checked in 20 minutes prior to the start of the meet will be scratched/replaced for the first relays.
- If swimmers aren’t already marked with swimmer number (see attached for numbers and marking instructions), please mark them prior to warm-ups. It’s best if swimmers are marked when they are dry and before applying sunscreen.
- 4:00p: Maplewood begins warm-up by age group
- 5:00p: Meet begins. Let’s go Marlins!
- The meet will follow the regular order of events.
- We will not pause the meet to look for a swimmer. If a swimmer is not at the block for their race, they will not swim.
- Parents of older swimmers, please remind your child that the younger kiddos are watching them and will follow along with both good & bad behavior examples. We understand the facilities are cramped, but we must stay out of the pool when not racing and we can not have balls being thrown here there and everywhere...and hitting grandma along the way.
- If you notice any pool facilities that need attention, please let a board member know so we can address it.
What to Bring
- Plenty of water to stay well hydrated and healthy snacks. The concession stand will be open and will sell pizza, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and usual concession snacks.
- Sunscreen
- Activities/Games to keep your swimmer occupied between events.
- Lawn chairs as pool chairs are snatched up quickly
Parent Volunteers
- WE MUST FILL THE FOLLOWING SHIFTS
- ONE Awards 2nd Half
- ONE 7/8 Girls Tent parent
- ONE 7/8 Boys Tent parent
- ONE 9/10 Girls Tent parent
- TWO 9/10 Boys Tent parents
- ONE 13-18 Boys Tent parent
- Please check in at the purple tent on the area between pools. 1st shift volunteers help during Events 1-34 and 2nd shift volunteers help during Events 35-70, but you should check in before the meet for all shifts!
- What does my shift do? Look HERE.
- If you are unable to make your shift, please find your own replacement. If you are running late please have someone notify us (we are busy doing other things leading up meet start, so do not email us at the 11th hour expecting us to see it).

Thursday & Friday -- ALL SWIMMERS regular practice schedule:
6 & Under 8:00 - 8:30 AM
7/8 8:30 - 9:15 AM
9/10 9:15 - 10:00 AM
11/12 10:00 - 11:00 AM
13 & up 8-9pm (only Thursday this week)
