Afternoon Marlins!

Quick note on events & heat sheets for today. Yesterday evening after we merged the meet with Covington Woods, the ending time for the meet today was 9:30pm (and we all know it usually goes longer than the estimated time). With the fact that HISD is still in school tomorrow and many of our older swimmers have finals on Tuesday morning, we made the decision to cut the freestyle relay from the end of the meet (keeping 6 & under freestyle relay because they only do 2 events total), only have 1 heat of each medley relay at the beginning of the meet and cut 11 & up swimmers to 2 individual events. We understand that some swimmers will not be in a relay at all because of this. Unfortunately, there is just no way to keep everyone happy in this situation.

ALL THAT BEING SAID, please understand that the coaches & the board does everything they can to make this an enjoyable and fair experience for all, while still being a competitive team.

We are checking heat sheets and will make adjustments if we can leading up to meet start. Best news is that we have 3 more dual meets and there will be no more cutting of events. Be prepared to stay and enjoy a nice long meet on June 9, 16 & 23 :)

Current heat sheet is attached. If your swimmer is only in 1 individual event, please reach out and we will get them heated in a 2nd event.
